The Raiding Galley is a campaign-exclusive naval unit in Age of Empires IV: The Sultans Ascend that is available only to the enemy Franks in the Raiders of the Red Sea scenario of the The Sultans Ascend campaign. It fires five flaming arrows as an attack, similar to the archer ship after researching Heated Shot. It essentially replaces the Demolition Ship in the naval counter triangle as the main anti-Springald Ship unit (although the Franks do also use Demolition Ships, it is only in small number). Because it has the 'Incendiary Ship' class, it is weak to Archer Ships.
Trivia[]
- Raiding Galleys have the same model as the Galleass. The cannon from this unit model, anachronistic at this time, is still visible at the front of the ship, although not used as one its weapons.
