Sabla Wengel (died 4 December 1567) is a character in the Christopher da Gama's Expedition scenario of the Historical Battle in Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition. She was Empress of Ethiopia through her marriage to Lebna Dengel. She is well-known as a key political and military figure during the Ethiopian–Adal war, which was the basis of the scenario she appears in. She was also important in the reigns of her sons and grandson.

Trivia

• Sabla Wengel should actually be called Seble Wongel. It is possible the developers conflated her with the latter Sabla Wangel Hailu, which is a common mistake.
• The icon for the achievement "Ruler of the Seven Kingdoms", obtained by aging up with every alliance option as the Hausa, incorrectly show Sabla instead of Queen Amina.
• The new Portuguese-exclusive politician introduced in update 13.27885, the Ethiopian Queen, depicts Sabla in its portrait.
