Pyrotechnics is a unique technology available to the Chinese in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the Archery Range in the Imperial Age. It increases the range of Handcannoneers by 1.5 tiles.
The technology researches 150% faster when the Archery Range is supervised by an Imperial Official.

- Originally, Pyrotechnics was available at the Siege Workshop. With update 8324, it is available at the University. With Season Two Update 17718, it is available at the Archery Range.
- Originally, Pyrotechnics cost 150 food, 150 wood, 700 gold, and increased the attack range of all gunpowder units by 20%. With Season Two Update 17718, it costs 75 food, 75 wood, 350 gold, and increases the attack range of only Handcannoneers by 1.5 tiles.
