Prince Shotoku, also spelled Prince Shōtoku, is a special Horse Archer unit that is exclusive to Age of Empires: Definitive Edition.

He is available only in the Scenario Editor and the campaign mode of the game.

Campaign appearances

Prince Shotoku has the appearance of a Horse Archer, but is much stronger. He has 200 hit points, 10 attack, 7 range, and 2 pierce armor.

He appears as a player-controlled hero unit to the fifth scenario of the Yamato, Empire of the Rising Sun campaign. More specifically, he appears in the The Canyon of Death scenario.
