The Poenari Castle is an unconstructable defensive structure in Age of Empires II HD: The Forgotten, known for its use by Vlad III Țepeș, better known as Dracula. Unavailable for construction and only available in the Scenario Editor (under the Other tab) and a few campaign scenarios, it does not differ much from a regular Castle. Most stats are identical, but the Poenari Castle is superior due to its higher HP, attack, and garrison capacity. Also, it provides 25 population instead of the 20 a regular Castle provides.
The structure returns in the Definitive Edition, albeit significantly overhauled and no longer reusing textures from other buildings.
