This article is about the the unit in Age of Empires II. For the trade unit in Age of Mythology, see Caravan (Age of Mythology). |
The Ox Wagon is an untrainable unit in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. It is only available in a few campaigns and the Scenario Editor.
Ox Wagons are "decoration" units, as they only serve the purpose of briefly-appearing characters in campaigns. Much like Kings, they have no attack or function whatsoever, being only limited to walking around. They share the same sprite as the mobile, packed Town Centers, though the Ox Wagon has no such function.
Campaign appearances[]
Bari[]
- The Best Laid Plans: The Papal and Holy Roman Empire forces are facilitating trade through a passage in the north using Ox Wagons, renamed to Trading Carts. Destroying this passage will severely weaken their forces.
Kotyan Khan[]
- The Battle at the Kalka River: Kievites and Togortac Khan's tribe have several Ox Wagons that they evacuate the map with.
- Saving the Huts: The Cuman Tribes will evacuate in Ox Wagons to the Hungarian lands, once all the tribes are rescued and the Tatar blockade south is fully destroyed.
- A New Home: There are a couple of Ox Wagons in the Hungarian lands that can be brought to the Cuman Wonder in exchange for villagers.
Jadwiga[]
- The Matter of the Crown: An Ox Wagon is located in the south village, next to a Market.
- The Siege of Vilnius: Ox Wagons renamed as Supply Carts supply the Teutonic forces besieging Vilnius. Killing them robs the Teutonic Order of supplies and forces them to lift the siege.
Jan Zizka[]
- The One-Eyed Wanderer: Enemy convoys supplying Rozemberk's armies are made up of Ox Carts and Ox Wagons.
- The Golden City: Allied Ox Wagons bring supplies to Prague along several potential supply routes. Destroying enemy blockades along those routes allows for more caravans to travel through.
Victors and Vanquished[]
- Mstislav: Cumans are fleeing west with Ox Wagons.
- Seljuk: Destroying the large Yurts of rival tribes will grant Ox Wagons that can be unpacked as large Yurts, which produce cavalry units during the tribal phase of the Seljuk dynasty. These Yurts can also be packed up into Ox Wagons in order to migrate to a new location.
