Greatly improves the train time of Crossbowmen and Pikemen and researches their Guard upgrades. Crossbowmen turn into Ordinance Riflemen that are cheaper and stronger against Heavy Infantry.
—In-game description

Ordenança is a technology in Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition - Knights of the Mediterranean that is unique to the Portuguese and can be researched at the Church once the Fortress Age is reached and the "Treaty of Tordesillas" Home City Card has been sent since update 13.27885.

Once researched, Ordinance Riflemen and Pikemen's training time are reduced by 30%. Also, automatically upgrades Ordinance Riflemen and Pikemen to Veteran and Royal Guard (if not already), turns the current Crossbowmen into Ordinance Riflemen, and they can be trained at Barracks, Forts, and Galleons, replacing Crossbowmen.
