Nearchos is an infantry hero in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Chronicles: Alexander the Great. He shares his model with Philip and Hephaistion. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate hit points.
Campaign appearances[]
Alexander the Great[]
- The Battle of the Granicus: The Field Commanders of the Macedonian army are likely all renamed Nearchos.
In scenarios where he appears as a character, Nearchos is represented by a Chronicles Merchant with modified attributes. In Katabasis, he commands the Macedonian navy on the Indus River to assist Alexander's campaign against the Mallians. In A Voyage of Discovery, he leads the naval expedition through the Persian Gulf to Susa, alongside Perdiccas. Along the way, he and Perdiccas have many adventures, bartering and fighting with local tribes, discovering ancient landmarks, and recovering treasures.
Trivia[]
- The model shared by Nearchos, Hephaistion, and Philip is internally known as "Macedonian Commander". This model has an associated icon in the game files, but the corresponding unit does not exist, except for in its "dead" form.
