Mounted Training (Mounted Precision before update 7.0.5861) is a unique technology available to the Rus in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the Archery Range in the Imperial Age. It increases the attack range of Horse Archers by 1 tile, and also grants them the Gallop ability.
Gallop (Active): Unit moves at maximum speed and gains +2 range for 8 seconds. After the 8 seconds has elapsed, this ability has a 45 second cooldown (per unit). The Horse Archer has a 'maximum speed' of 2 tiles per second. So, with a base speed of 1.625 tiles per second, this equates to a ~23% speed increase. Note that this holds true regardless of what is shown in the UI. So if a Horse Archer is benefiting from any additional speed enhancement (such as Yam aura or Khan arrow), even though the UI may display a value higher than 2 after Gallop is used, the movement speed is still capped at 2, thus reducing the additional speed bonus gained from Gallop.
Mounted Precision granted for free to Mercenary Horse Archers for the Byzantines when they advance to the Imperial Age with the Foreign Engineering Company. Khaganate Horse Archers for the Mongols also have the Gallop ability, but they only have 4.5 tiles of range, so it is unknown whether they have 1 less range by default (to match the Mangudai), or if the +1 range bonus from Mounted Training is not applying correctly.
