The map is mountainous, with a large portion of the outer rim being unpassable misty mountains. At the center, a high peak rises with a neutral Temple of the Gods (except on King of the Hill games), surrounded by cliffs; the building is purely decorative. A large number of Relics can be found near the Shrines towards the edges of the map, reachable through narrow outcroppings. The players' starting positions and unclaimed Settlements all surround the central peak in a circle, along with a few smaller peaks. The many cliffs make walling easy, while the smaller territory makes combat start earlier and more intensely.
