—Age of Empires IV description |
The Mosque is a religious building in Age of Empires IV available to the Abbasid Dynasty, Ayyubids, Delhi Sultanate, Ottomans, and Malians. It is available starting in the Castle Age. Just like the Monastery, it produces religious units and houses religious technologies. Starting in the Castle Age, religious units can pick up Relics and place them in this building to generate gold. A Mosque can hold a maximum of three Relics.
The Delhi Sultanate uses Mosques very differently than other civilizations, the details of which are discussed in the respective civilization bonuses section.
Abilities and influences[]
- Mosque Influence: (Influence, Delhi Sultanate only): Also referred to as Scholar Influence. For the Delhi Sultanate, Mosques generate a 12 x 12 tile influence area. All buildings within this influence have their research speeds improved based on how many Scholars are garrisoned in the Mosque. All buildings except those that do not have any available technologies (such as Houses or Markets) extend the influence area by one tile beyond their footprint, and the influence area can be combined with that of other Mosques, Madrasas, or Docks.
- Healing Aura: (Passive, Delhi Sultanate only, requires Tranquil Venue): Units within a 5-tile radius are healed for 4 hit points per second while out of combat
