Monastic Shrines is a unique technology available to the Mongols in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the Prayer Tent in the Imperial Age. After researching, Prayer Tents gain the Ovoo influence, allowing Improved Production and technologies at buildings within a 7 x 7 influence area.
Note: This technology only applies the Ovoo influence to newly created Prayer Tents. The original Prayer Tent does not gain the influence.
Campaign version[]
Because the original four campaigns have not been rebalanced since the release of the game, Monastic Shrines costs 75 wood, 300 gold and takes 60 seconds to research in those campaigns. Its effect is the same.
Note: This technology seems to be bugged in the campaign. Researching it has no effect, even on newly created Prayer Tents, and then when packing and unpacking the Prayer Tent, it becomes available to research again.
