Marauders is a technology in Age of Empires II HD: The Forgotten that is unique to the Huns and can be researched at the Castle. Once researched, Tarkans can be trained at the Stable. Since Stables are significantly cheaper than Castles, this makes it easier to field large armies of Tarkans quickly.
Strategy[]
Marauders is a somewhat situational technology, as Tarkans themselves are a situational unit. They are good at taking hits from archers and defenses, though in exchange they possess weak melee combat, especially for their cost. If the player is planning on using Tarkans in a large quantity, this technology will be very useful, as Stables are more easily created than Castles. However, as the Huns do not rely on this unit, it is perfectly reasonable to skip this technology.

History[]
The Huns are routinely depicted as savage and bestial, especially by ancient writers such as Jordanes (6th century CE) and Ammianus Marcellinus (4th century CE).
Jordanes writes of the Huns under Attila: "Once again [the men] incense their spirits into attacking Aquileia. They build machines and cause all sort of torments and, without delay, break into the city and crudely plunder it, tear it apart and lay it waste. They leave it in such a state that its vestiges hardly would reveal that something once there existed."
