Mapuche Tactics is a technology in Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs that can be researched at a Trading Post or Tambo built on a Mapuche settlement. Once researched, it increases the siege attack damage of hand infantry by 50%.
Strategy[]
Mapuche Tactics is strong for any civilization, however it is especially powerful for:
- The Russians, especially when combined with the "Ransack" Home City Card.
- The Japanese, boosting their basic Samurai building attack to 90 (109.8 with the "Onin War" Home City Card) and Ashigaru Musketeers to 31.5 (38.43 with the "Onin War" Home City Card).
- The Aztecs, because they do not have cavalry and artillery, and combined with the "Scorched Earth" Home City Card, the total siege damage inflicted by Jaguar Prowl Knights becomes 72, without unit upgrades.
- The Germans, combined with the "Solingen Steel" Home City Card, the total damage inflicted by Doppelsoldner is increased to 120, without unit upgrades.
- The Lakota, because they have the Charging Ceremony and the "Territorial Claims" Home City Card. Their Club Warriors will become potent building destroyers with a total of 90 siege damage.
