Manuscript Trade was a unique technology available to the Delhi Sultanate in Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition that could be researched at the Dock starting in the Dark Age. After being researched, Scholars garrisoned in a Dock increased the work rate of the Dock by 30% (Scholars could be garrisoned in the Dock even before researching this technology, but had no effect). Additionally, the garrisoned Scholars contributed to increasing global research speed in the same fashion as Scholars garrisoned in a Mosque or Madrasa, and the research speed bonus stacked with the garrisoned Scholar bonus. With update 11.0.782, this technology was removed and reworked into a civilization bonus.

- Originally, Scholars in Docks provided +20% work rate. With update 6.0.878, they provide +30% work rate. With update 11.0.782, the effect was reverted to 20% when it was made a civilization bonus.
