Maelstrom is a Chinese myth technology in Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars that is available to worshipers of Goumang and can be researched at the Dock. Once researched, it gives the Doujian a chance to spawn a vortex whenever it attacks a naval unit.

Doujian: 5% chance of spawning a vortex upon attacking an enemy naval unit, which deals 5 divine (0.1× vs. myth units, 0.1× vs. heroes) per second in a radius of 5. Each maelstrom lasts for 10 seconds.
