—In-game description |
Lysander's Raider is an untrainable infantry unit in Chronicles: Battle for Greece. It is available in the Scenario Editor and present in the Battle for Greece campaign, where it is one of the bodyguard units that can be chosen in the latter part of the third act. It looks identical to the Mercenary Hoplite.
Ability[]
- Phalanx: It has an aura of radius two tiles which increases the armor of nearby Hoplites, Elite Hoplites, and Mercenary Hoplites by +1 melee and pierce armor.
- Charge attack: It has a +6 charged attack, which it recharges over 30 seconds.
- Raiding: It generates 7, 7, 15, and 6 gold for killing military units, Priestesses, buildings, and civilian units. This can be increased by researching the Military Policy.
Campaign appearances[]
Chronicles: Battle for Greece[]
- Speeches and Spears: Lysander asks Brasidas to employ his Raiders, with which he wants to raid cities of Chalcidice.

Trivia[]
- In the game files, the unit is simply named 'Elite Hoplite', though its unit id is 2349.
- Lysander's Raider is also defined to have a speed charge ability, which does not work in-game. The charged-up speed was supposed to activate when its target is within 2 to 4 tiles, increasing its speed by 20% (to 1.08) in this distance, and dissipating once impact is made.
- Lysander's Raider reuses the model of the Mercenary Hoplite.
