—In-game description in Retold
The Lost Ship is an Egyptianmyth unit* and ship in Age of Mythology, and the aquatic counterpart to the Minion. They can only be created when the Ancestorsgod power is invoked on water. They rise from the abyss to fight for the player's cause for 1 minute, after which they sink back into the water.
Before Retold, they were classified as archer ships. As such, they benefited from technologies which affected them. Unlike Minions, they did not benefit from the effects of the Eclipse god Power. Despite looking like ruined Kebenits, not only did they not have an attack bonus vs. Fishing Ships, they could not even attack Fishing Ships, nor buildings.
In Retold, they are myth units and no longer archer ships. They still continue to benefit from Armory upgrades, however. They do not gain extra attributes in the Mythic Age, unlike other Heroic Age myth units, although they do get Wonder Age bonuses for myth units.
Lost Ships are classified as ships and archer ships. They have 130 hit points, an attack of 5 per second with a multiplier of 3 vs. Transport Ships. They cannot attack Fishing Ships and buildings.
Lost Ships are classified as ships and myth units. They have 200 hit points, an attack of 8 per hit at 1.5 Rate of Fire with no damage multipliers. There is no restriction to what they can or cannot attack.
Lost Ships gain +100% hit points, +100% attack, and +20% speed in the Wonder Age.
Mythology[]
โ
Wrecks and sunken ships rise from the depths at Nephthys' call. Some egyptians believed that Ra died every sunset and was reborn every morning. In death, it is said he was carried on a barge called Mesektet.

Trivia[]
In the original game, Lost Ships have the same icon as Kebenits. In Retold, they receive a new icon which they share with the Charon Ferry.
The Lost Ship is the only myth unit which is also categorized as a ship. Other naval myth units are simply classified as naval units.
