Long Guns is a unique technology available to the French and Jeanne d'Arc in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the Dock starting in the Imperial Age, or the Royal Institute in the Castle Age (at a 30% discount). Once researched, the damage of naval cannons is increased by 15%.

- Originally Long Guns cost 100 food, 250 gold, was available in the Castle Age, gave +10% damage, and took 60 seconds to research. With update 24916, it cost 150 wood, 350 gold, and took 30 seconds to research. With the Season Five Update, it costs 200 wood, 500 gold, gives +15% damage, also increases bonus damage, and is available in the Imperial Age.
- With the Season Five Update, Long Guns is now available in the Royal Institute
