| —Age of Empires IV description | ||
The Lodya Fishing Boat is the Lodya form of the Fishing Boat available to the Rus in Age of Empires IV trained at the Dock starting in the Dark Age. It is significantly different from the regular Fishing Boat, unlike other Lodya ships and their counterparts. It does not need to return to a Dock to drop off food. When their carry capacity limit is reached, they drop off food directly in the resource pile. However, to drop off food less than the carry capacity, the player needs to manually drop that off at the Dock.
Overview[]
Lodya Fishing Boats cost twice as much as Fishing Boats and take 50% more time to train. In turn, they gather almost twice as fast as Fishing Boats: They gather 1.42 food/s from Deep Water Fish and 1.2825 food/s from Shoreline Fish. Because Lodya Fishing Boats do not need to return to Docks to drop off food, their effective gathering speed is usually more than twice that of a Fishing Boat. They have a default carry capacity of 40, like Fishing Boats, but because they do not need to return to the Dock to deposit their fish, there is no benefit to increasing their carry capacity.
Ability[]
Lodya Fishing Boats have the ability to transform into any other type of ship for a cost. A detailed description of the ability is given in the Lodya Transformation section of the Ability page.
