Local Knowledge is a unique healing technology available to the Malians in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the Barracks in the Feudal Age*. After researching it, Musofadi Warriors and Musofadi Gunners will regain 5 hit points per attack for 5 seconds after leaving stealth.
Like with all Malian technologies, the Manuscript Trade civilization bonus reduces the research time of this technology depending on how much gold has been obtained through trade. It is also granted for free to Mercenary Musofadi Warriors for the Byzantines when they advance to the Imperial Age with the Foreign Engineering Company.

- Originally, Local Knowledge cost 200 food, 500 gold. took 90 seconds to research, and was available in the Imperial Age. With the Season Four Update, it cost 100 food, 250 gold, took 60 seconds to research, and was available in the Castle Age. With patch 11.1.1201, it costs 75 food, 200 gold, takes 30 seconds to research, and is available in the Feudal Age.
- Originally, Local Knowledge healed Musofadi units for 2 hit points per second while in stealth. With patch 11.1.1201, it was changed to its current effect.
