Mythology[]
โ | The Titan Theia, goddess of sight, ruled over Lemuria, the most loyal and advanced of Atlantean colonies. The Lemurians were tall and lithe, but were best known for their keen vision - a boon from their patron goddess. They were employed as scouts alongside Oracles for much of the Atlantean empire. The island of Lemuria was destroyed when the brother giants Ephialtes and Otus piled up mountains to reach Olympus, including the mountainous Lemuria. | โ |

Trivia[]
- Lemuria was a theoretical proposal made in the 1800s for a lost supercontinent somewhere in the Indian Ocean in order to explain the global presence of certain species of animals. It has no relation to Greek or any other ancient mythology, being named for lemurs.
- However, the name of the animal does derive from the Classical Latin lemures, believed to be shades or restless spirits of the dead, which were placated with offerings during the Lemuria festival.
