The Lamb of the Creator is a scouting Sheep unit that is unique to the Maltese in Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition - Knights of the Mediterranean.

Overview

The Sheep looks exactly the same as a its herdable counterpart, except it is a hero, so it cannot be killed by enemy units. It cannot attack, and can be shipped with the Bailiff Home City Card.

When compared to the Explorer Dog, it has more hit points and resistance, which makes it tough to kill. However, it lacks an attack ability, so it is only usable in scout missions and to tank damage from enemy units auto-attacking (as implied in its description). It is especially good at tanking ranged fire, due to its 30% ranged resistance.

Trivia

• The Lamb of the Creator is a reference to Jesus in the Bible, as he is sometimes called the Lamb of God.
• The Lamb of the Creator has the usual automatic hit point upgrades for pets, except in the Imperial Age, where it gets +100% hit points instead of the usual +60%.
• The Lamb of the Creator is the only non-cheat-unit pet which is not tagged as hand infantry. Most notably, this means it is not affected by Infantry Breastplate.
• The name of the Bailiff card which the Lamb of the Creator is shipped with refers to the term for the head of each of the Langues (lit. tongues) of Malta when ruled by the Knights Hospitaller.
