The Kremlin is a defensive landmark available to the Rus in Age of Empires IV in the Dark Age. It acts as a Wooden Fortress that comes with Arrowslits, Castle Turret, and Castle Watch upgrades, and can recruit Militia temporarily.
Abilities[]
Wooden Fortress Influence (Influence): The Kremlin generates a 20 x 20 tile influence area. Lumber Camps and Town Centers within this influence return +20% wood and extend the influence area by 1 tile around their footprint.- Recruiting Militia (Passive): Generates one supply point every 80 seconds. There is no limit to the number of supply points that can be stored.
- Levy Militia (Active): Uses up 1 supply point to spawn 2 Militia at the Capital Town Center. This ability costs 55 food every time it is used. It has no cool down, and can be used as long as there are food and supply points available.
- Levy All Militia (Active): Uses up as many supply points as can be afforded (at the 55 food cost) to spawn Militia all at once at the Capital Town Center.

- Originally, the Kremlin had an influence range of 4 tiles, and its default weapon range and garrison weapon range were 6 tiles. With the Season Two Update 17718, the Kremlin has an influence range of 8 tiles, and its default weapon range and garrison weapon range are 8 tiles. With patch 10.1.48, the range was reduced to 7 tiles.
- Originally, Kremlin arrows dealt +25 bonus damage vs Ships. With update 24916, this was reduced to +10.
- With update 6.0.878, the Kremlin has the Levy Militia ability. The Kremlin generates 1 supply per minute.
- With update 7.0.5861, the Kremlin no longer gains one supply ticket upon completion and now requires 1 minute to gain the first supply. The Levy All Militia ability is gained
- With update 7.0.5861, the Kremlin can no longer be built within 8 tiles of a landmark Town Center
