Kerlaugar is a random map introduced in Age of Mythology: Retold. It is based on the river Kerlaugar from Norse mythology. It is a hybrid map with thin strips of land separated by rivers.
Overview[]
Kerlaugar has two shallow rivers, one on each side of the map, which can be traversed by both land and naval units. Schools of fish can be found close to the starting Town Centers closer to the waters, which can provide an endless supply of food. Fauna consists of Cows, Caribou, and Polar Bears.
Additional resources and Relics, as well as Settlements, can be found on the lands across each river, not unlike Yellow River from Tale of the Dragon.
