Jean de Lorrain is a hero available in the fifth Joan of Arc scenario, The Siege of Paris, fighting for the French, as well as the Scenario Editor in Age of Empires II. He has the appearance of a Bombard Cannon, though with improved stats. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate health (since The Conquerors).
Jean de Lorrain is based on Jean le Lorrain, a minor fictional character in Mark Twain's novel Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc (1896). Described as a "famous cannoneer", Lorrain is approached by the Duke D'Alençon during the siege of Jargeau and asked to shoot down the largest and most dangerous English soldier of the garrison.
