Strategy[]
Jalisco is the most suitable option for Mexicans in the Imperial Age when the map is almost depleted of resources. This federal state addresses all resources except experience. It ships wood by aging up, enables better coin-collection at Haciendas with Tonalá Ceramics and brings lot of Cows with Guadalajara Ranching that can be used for their food. Being a federal state which focuses on the economy, it is also flexible and allows for long-term economy in the late game.
Among federal states from previous ages, Jalisco synergizes better with states that have more economic upgrades or benefits. The best Commerce Age federal states if going for Jalisco are Durango, Tlaxcala, and Querétaro. Durango allows for an Outlaw- and Mercenary-Strategy that can be complemented with the Baja California revolution, much like with Oaxaca. For Jalisco, this strategy may be sustained for longer, as the Settlers working on the Haciendas will allow coin for a much longer period of time. If the player did not revolt with Baja California, but still wants an outlaw strategy sustained by economy, the player may have to pick either Sonora, Coahuila, or Tabasco in the Fortress Age and pick Zacatecas in the Industrial Age.
Querétaro may give 3,000 wood if using Arteaga Reforms for aging up with Jalisco, while the player may save wood from Houses, as the Haciendas will provide population with the Querétaro Haciendas federal card. Being a Federal state that focuses on economy, Jalisco is also a good follow up for the Central America revolution, which has an economic and artillery focus.
