This article is about the infantry units in Chronicles. For the armor class, see Armor class: Infantry. For infantry units in other games of the series, see infantry. |
Infantry in Chronicles are one of the general types of military units, the others being archers, cavalry, siege weapons, and ships.
Infantry deal melee damage, usually at melee range, although some have a non-projectile short range. They are slower than cavalry, and often archers too. They are generally meant to be frontline troops rather than backline troops or raiding troops. Most are general-purpose, while others fill specific niches such as countering cavalry or other infantry. Most infantry are also good against buildings. The slower speed and lower hit points of infantry units (compared to cavalry units) makes archers a good counter for them.
From the Civic Age onwards, all infantry units gain +2 Line of Sight, which is the free remnant effect of the former technology Tracking.

Notes[]
- ↑ The effect on the Paragon upgrade is a reduction by 23.33 seconds resulting in 61.67 seconds (37.83% faster), rather than the expected reduction by 28.33 seconds which would have resulted in 56.67 seconds (50% faster). Due to not being described in the in-game team bonus as such, this is likely a bug.
