Imperial Examinations is a unique technology available to the Chinese in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the Imperial Academy starting in the Feudal Age. Once researched, the maximum amount of gold carried by Imperial Officials is increased by 30.

- Originally, Imperial Examinations gave Imperial Officials +20 gold carry capacity. With patch 11963, it gave them +40 gold carry capacity. With patch 12.1.2454, the increase is +30.
