| —In-game description | ||
The Ikko-Ikki Monk is a unique religious melee infantry unit in Age of Empires IV: Dynasties of the East, available to the Sengoku Daimyo at the Buddhist Temple in the Castle Age. Like all Monk variants, it can pick up Relics, convert enemy units, and capture Sacred Sites. However, it does not have a targeted heal ability, and instead can attack enemy units and heal nearby allied units with each attack.
Ability[]
- Attack Healing (Passive): With each melee or torch attack, all friendly units within a range of approximately 1 tile are healed for +2 hit points. This can be improved to +3 with Kampo Medicine. The Ikko-Ikki Monk cannot heal itself with its attack.
Drop Relic: Drop a held Relic at a particular location. This can only be used to drop-off a Relic on the map, not in a building such as a Buddhist Temple, which must be right clicked while holding the Relic.
Buddhist Conversion (Active): While carrying a Relic, attempts to convert all units within a 4.75 tile radius to its side. Any enemy units remaining within the radius at the end of a 6 second countdown are converted. Siege engines, hero units, and other religious units are not affected. Upon casting, allied units within the radius during the conversion attempt gain +20% base damage (not bonus damage). Has a 120 second cooldown.
