The Templar Grand Master and Hospitaller Grand Master are recurring non-playable heavy melee cavalry leaders exclusive to the The Sultans Ascend campaign in Age of Empires IV: The Sultans Ascend. They are elite units (with same statistics) appearing in several scenarios that often leads their group of Holy Order Knights in enemy Frankish Crusader armies.
The units are a significantly improved version of a Knight. Their stats are boosted by different technologies in each scenario. A fully-upgraded one will benefit from all of the technologies listed below.

- Several small groups of Knights Templar ride out to try and take control of capture points in Into Egypt, each led by a Templar Grand Master.
- A Hospitaller Grand Master leads one of the waves in The Horns of Hattin along with several Hospitaller Knights and other units.
- A Templar Grand Master leads one of the waves in The Horns of Hattin along with several Templar Knights and other units.
- The Hospitaller Grand Master patrols behind the headquarters in The Battle of Mansurah. If killed, his Hospitaller Knights will desert.
- The Templar Grand Master patrols the east corner of the map in The Battle of Mansurah. If killed, his Templar Knights will desert.
- In The Battle of Ayn Jalut, a Hospitaller Grand Master leads a group of Hospitaller Knights in the center of the third attacking wave.
- In The Battle of Ayn Jalut, a Templar Grand Master leads a group of Templar Knights on the left flank of the third attacking wave.
- Templar Grand Masters and Hospitaller Grand Masters will repeatedly attack the player in The Siege of Acre once the inner walls of the city have been breached.

- In addition to its aura ability, according to the editor, the Hospitaller Grand Master also has an active ability that heals all units within a 6.25-tile radius to full health and lasts for 10 seconds. However, it doesn't seem to ever be used.
