“ | Trains Dryads and provides area protection from god powers, for whomever controls it. | ” |
The Hesperides Tree is a building in Age of Mythology: The Titans, created where Hesperides is invoked. Unlike most buildings, it is indestructible. It can be captured by units of enemies (but not by allies), if none of the current owner's units are nearby in a radius of 10.
Since Retold, it also heals myth units (except Titans and friendly Nidhoggs) in a radius of 20 at 0.3 hit points per second when idle, and half that otherwise. When invoked, it spawns two Dryads next to it. Before Retold, Hesperides Trees had an aura which blocked enemies from using god powers near it, similar to Monuments of Isis.
Further statistics[]
Technologies or bonuses which improve the hit points or armor values of the Hesperides Tree are not listed below, as the Trees are immune to damage.
General technologies[]
- Signal Fires ➞ Carrier Pigeons: +6 Line of Sight.
Relics[]
Trainable units[]
- Dryad - A strong melee myth unit, has a build limit of five.
Strategy[]
This section needs expansion. You can help by adding to it. |
As they are military buildings, they should be placed forward where the Dryads trained from them can reinforce in battles quickly, but they should not be placed in risky locations: instead of just losing the building, players may find their opponents gaining control of it.

Mythology[]
“ | The Tree of Golden Apples was protected by the nymph daughters of Atlas, the Hesperides. The Tree was a wedding gift to the goddess Hera and its golden fruit was said to grant immortality. The serpent-dragon Ladon guarded the Tree with the Hesperides, though even with such fierce protectors apples from its lofty, guarded boughs managed to slip away into the myths of Atalanta, Heracles and several others. | ” |
