The Hesperides Tree also acts as shield against god powers, just like Isis' Monuments. Note also that, like Forseti's Healing Spring, Trees will be captured if surrounded by enemy troops.

The Hesperides Trees' god power shielding ability makes their placement a strategic choice. Putting one close to a front line prevents the opponent from using God Powers there but leaves it open to capture by the enemy. As this power can be used twice it is best to put one on closer to a front line and one near the town, preventing the use of God Powers and allowing Dryads to defend and attack.

Hesperides is an Atlantean Heroic Age god power in Age of Mythology: The Titans that is available to worshipers of Theia. When cast, it creates a Hesperides Tree, a large tree at which Dryads can be trained. Dryads are trained very quickly and cost only 150 gold, making them one of the cheapest myth units. Only five Dryads per Tree can be in play at any one time. The Hesperides Tree can be captured by any player if they have enough troops close to it.

Hesperides is a god power shield, i.e. while it is in effect, no other god powers can be cast in the vicinity of the Tree. It can be cast twice in a game.

Strategy

Hesperides Trees' shielding ability makes their placement a strategic choice. Putting one close to a front line prevents the opponent from using god powers there but leaves it open to capture by the enemy.
