—In-game description |
Herbal Medicine is a Chinese Classical Age myth technology in Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars that is available to worshipers of Shennong and can be researched at the Imperial Academy. Once researched, when a Sage is healing a unit, he also simultaneously heals several other nearby units at reduced rates.
The technology has no effect in the Classical Age since the Sage is not unlocked until the Heroic Age.
Effects[]
Sage: Enables
Distributed Heal, which allows healing the target as well as another three surrounding units passively at successively halved rates:
- Target: 5 HP/s
- Distributed unit 1: 2.5 HP/s
- Distributed unit 2: 1.25 HP/s
- Distributed unit 3: 0.625 HP/s
Unlike what the description states, Sages do not heal a specific target faster, but the cumulative effect of the distributed healing increases the total hit points healed per second from 5 to 9.375.
Mythology[]
โ | Perhaps Shennong's greatest contribution to the Chinese people was the knowledge of herbal medicine. He famously tested hundreds of plants and herbs for their medicinal qualities, once consuming seventy poisonous plants in one day. He is credited as the author of one of the first Chinese medical texts, Shennong Bencao Jing (Classic of Shennong's Materia Medica). | โ |
