Heated Shot is a naval technology in Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition available at the Dock in the Imperial Age. It grants all archer ships an additional-damage-over-time effect on their attacks. The damage over time effect deals 30 damage over 10 seconds and doesn't stack with itself. The arrows also gain an incendiary visual effect.
Civilization bonuses[]
Abbasid Dynasty: Research speeds are +15%/+20% faster while Golden Age tiers 2/3 are active. If Preservation of Knowledge has been researched, this technology costs -20%.- Ayyubids: Research speeds are 25% faster while Golden Age tier 2 is active.
- Byzantines: Research speeds are 30% faster per water level at buildings within the influence of a Cistern with the Dialecticus ability active.
- Chinese and Zhu Xi's Legacy: Docks work 10% faster
- Delhi Sultanate: The technology is free, but takes 12x as long to research (540 seconds instead of 45 seconds). Research speed can be further increased by 20% for each garrisoned Scholar.
- Japanese: Research speeds are 150% faster at Docks with garrisoned Yorishiro
- Malians: Technologies take less time to research based on how much gold has been obtained through trade.
