Healers are units capable of restoring the hit points of other units, including allied ones belonging to another player. The ability to restore ones own hit points is described as regeneration. This can turn the tide in battle, as well as save the resources needed to train replacement soldiers. Every game in the Age of Empires series features at least one healer unit.
Age of Mythology allows additional healing capabilities with god powers and buildings having healing capabilities.
