The Hausa Builder is a unit unique to the Hausa in Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition - The African Royals. It can build a House, Trading Post, Livestock Market, Port, or War Camp for free. It can also build a Watch Tower for free if Arewa is researched at the University.

Overview

Advancing to the Commerce Age with the Hausa Alliance grants one Hausa Builder and 300 wood. Choosing Hausa as an Alliance in any Age enables the player to train Hausa Builders from the Town Center for 200 influence.

With the Kano Chronicle technology available at the University with the Hausa Alliance, the player can receive a free Hausa Builder with each shipment. It can also build a Watch Tower when Arewa has been researched, which requires Kano Chronicle to be researched before becoming available.

The Hausa Builder constructs a House in 3.3 seconds, a Trading Post in 36 seconds, a Livestock Market in 5 seconds, a Port in 10 seconds, a War Camp in 10 seconds, and a Watch Tower in 45.5 seconds.
