This article is about the infantry hero in Age of Empires II: The Conquerors. For the Monk hero in Age of Empires II, see Harold Haardraade. |
Template:Heroes Infobox (Age of Empires II)Harald Hardraade is an infantry hero in Age of Empires II: The Conquerors. He is actually an in-game representation of Harald Hardrada, the King of Norway from 1046 to 1066. He can be only found in the Scenario Editor. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate health. He has the in-game appearance of a Berserk, but throws axes at his targets, much like a Throwing Axeman, but at a much faster rate. The sound when he throws an axe is the same of a sword-wielding infantry, however. Also his accuracy, while only 30% according to the game files, actually seems to be 100%. He also moves much faster than regular Berserks. Harald benefits from infantry technologies.
Harald replaces Harold Haardraade in the Scenario Editor. The latter was only available in The Age of Kings and represented the same king.
Appearance
- Harald Hardraade appears in the scenario Hastings, where his men attack the British but fail. He then allies with William the Conqueror.
