Hand Cannon is a technology in Age of Empires II that can be researched at the Archery Range once the Imperial Age is reached. Requiring Chemistry, it grants the training of Hand Cannoneers once researched.

With the introduction of The Conquerors, the Hand Cannon technology was removed from the game, meaning that Hand Cannoneers become available once Chemistry is researched.
In addition to Hand Cannon, the Bombard Cannon technology was also scrapped in The Conquerors. However, the Cannon Galleon and Bombard Tower technologies still need to be researched.
