| โ | Target Harumoto or a Daimyo to grant Hachiman's blessing, making them much stronger. | โ |
| —In-game description | ||
Hachiman's Blessing is a campaign-exclusive god power in Age of Mythology: Retold - Heavenly Spear that is available in the several scenarios of the Yasuko's Tale campaign where Harumoto is present. In those scenarios, it replaces the Shogun god power normally granted by Hachiman. When invoked on Harumoto or on a Daimyo, their attributes are improved significantly. As Harumoto cannot be permanently killed, the buffs remain even if he falls in combat and is resurrected. Losing a buffed Daimyo instead is a permanent loss of this blessing. Each unit can be blessed at most one time.
Effects[]
Harumoto:
- +100% hit points, +100% attack
- +1.5 hit points per second regeneration
Daimyo:
- +100% hit points, +100% attack compared to equivalent upgrade[note 1]
Bakufu ability
Divine Immunity
Trivia[]
- It is functionally equivalent to the Shogun god power with the added effect of benefitting Harumoto. However, the exact effects on hit points and attack differ. Hachiman's Blessing provides +100% attack and hit points, whereas Shogun provides +33.33% attack and +150% hit points.
- Unlike the Shogun god power, it does not change the name of the unit in-game. However, the units before and after the blessing are internally different units, with the units being named "Harumoto (Hero)" and "Harumoto (Blessed)" respectively.
Notes[]
- โ This means that the said +100% hit points and attack is achieved when the Daimyo with the Heavy Stable Soldiers in the Heroic Age is blessed, or if the Daimyo with Champion Stable Soldiers in the Mythic Age is blessed. If the Daimyo with only Medium Stable Soldiers is blessed in the Heroic Age, the effect would be more than +100%, that is +130%, and if the Daimyo with Champion Stable Soldiers is blessed in the Heroic Age, the effect would be less than +100%, that is +73.9%.
