The Greek Commander Tent is an unconstructible building in Chronicles, and is also present in the Scenario Editor of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. Just like Houses, Greek Commander Tents provide five population. They are present in campaign scenarios and can be found in the Scenario Editor.
In Chronicles: Alexander the Great, another version of this building was introduced, which has the additional capability of being a drop site for all resources collected by Villagers.
Like Greek Army Tents, they reuse the icon of the Army Tent from Age of Empires II.

It is used in numerous scenarios throughout the campaign.
Alexander the Great[]
- Let the Prince Decide: The Macedonian army sets up the dropsite version, renamed "Royal Tent", whenever they make camp. Alexander can also use it to train Mule Carts, Villagers, and Companion Cavalry. He also has the option to sell one of the Plunder Carts in exchange for 20 Villagers by clicking the "Sell Plunder Cart" button at the Tent.
- Right to Rule: The Greek Commander Tent is in the player's base, and is where heroes who die respawn after a while.
- Woe unto Thebes: Several of these are in the Macedonian garrison in the Cadmea citadel of Thebes.
- The Battle of the Granicus: The Macedonian Command Tents are renamed Greek Commander Tents. The player can recruit units in batches there in exchange for gold won by accomplishing objectives during the scenario. Persian Command Tents can also be captured on the battlefield to serve as forward bases. Following the Persian Army's retreat, Ox Wagons, renamed Packed Command Tents, will transport Macedonian Command Tents to the front lines as the player clears the mountain passes of the Greek Mercenaries. The Greek Mercenaries also have several Greek Commander Tents in the passes.
- The Cilician Gates: There is a Greek Commander Tent in the player's northern base where Cleitus and Perdiccas appear at the start. When Alexander recovers from his illness, he likewise appears at the tent.
- The Battle of Gaugamela: There is a Greek Commander Tent in each of Alexander's, Parmenion's, and Perdiccas' camps, renamed Royal Tent, Parmenion's Command Tent, and Perdiccas' Command Tent, respectively. Losing any of these results in the loss of the scenario. Alexander's Royal Tent is also where various special "Emergency measures" can be researched.
- The City at the End of the World: If the player upgrades a Barracks District in Alexandria Eschate to the third level, a Greek Commander Tent will be constructed there, near to the Gymnasion.
- A Voyage of Discovery: There is a Greek Commander Tent in the starting camp belonging to Aeropos. After defeating the Oreitans for Aeropos, the player can bring units to one of his Greek Commander Tents to exchange them for the units present there (Elite Phalangite, Companion Cavalry, or Pattiyodha Longbowman). Two Greek Commander Tents lie to either side of the Persian blockade which bars Nearchos' fleet from sailing upriver to Susa. They must be destroyed to remove the blockade.

Komnenos: Since Battle for Greece, The Eunuch's camp has Greek Commander Tents and Greek Army Tents.
