—Age of Empires IV description |
The Grand Fulani Corral is a economic landmark available to the Malians in Age of Empires IV in the Feudal Age. It generates 20 food per minute for every cattle near the Landmark, both for freestanding cattle and cattle in Cattle Ranches.
For Cattle quartered in a Cattle Ranch, it only matters whether the ranch is within the landmark's influence area, and not whether or not the quartered Cattle is shown to be standing in the influence area.
Special ability[]
- (Passive) All cattle within a 6.5 tile radius provide 20 food per minute. Unlike Cattle in Cattle Ranches, this bonus cannot be improved by any of the food gather rate technologies such as Horticulture or by the Griot Bara food festival.
Strategy[]
Players should try to build only one row of Cattle Ranches around the Grand Fulani Corral, since the second row of ranches only is within the Grand Fulani Corral's effect radius if it's build along a vertical or horizontal line of the Grand Fulani Corral's center (see Gallery).
Cattle quartered in a Cattle Ranches and within a Grand Fulani Corral influence area are extremely vulnerable target for enemy raids: Once the ranch has been destroyed and the contained Cattle killed, their cadavers will impede the Malian player from rebuilding the ranch in the same place. Furthermore, the cadavers cannot be moved by Scouts, forcing Villagers to gather from the cadaver if the Malian player wishes to remove it.
