Goose prev aoe2de
The Goose is a herdable animal in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and a decorative, non-interactive bird in Age of Empires III.

Age of Empires II Edit

In Age of Empires II, the Goose is a herdable animal with the same statistics as the Sheep. They have 7 hit points, 100 food, and the same speed, and can be captured by the enemy. Geese appear in some winter-themed random maps.

There are two species of geese in Age of Empires III: the Canada goose, which appears in some North American maps, and the Bar-headed goose introduced in Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties, which appears on some Asian maps. Each is present in individual and flock forms, which are technically different units; when selected in the Scenario Editor, both lone geese and geese flocks will reveal 20 HP each.

Unlike the Goose in Age of Empires II, which is a domestic animal, they are wild species that appear flying over the map, cannot be hunted or interacted with while playing, and serve only decorative purposes. However, they still count as units and can be commanded in the Scenario Editor.
