The Giant Siege Crossbow is an untrainable siege weapon in Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars. It is based on the Siege Crossbow available to the Chinese. It is used in the scenario Overcoming Fixations of the Pillars of the Gods campaign.

In the scenario, the unit's attributes are modified to: ​210  pierce / ​234 crush attack, 20 reload time, and 105 range.

Special ability

• Every strike by the Giant Siege Crossbow reduces the target's hack and pierce armor by 10% for 5 seconds.

History

“	The Siege Crossbow, also referred to as the Bed Crossbow, is a large crossbow designed to be operated by multiple individuals. It is mounted on a specialized launching platform or war chariot to fire large arrows and typically consists of multiple bows working in unison. According to historical records, this type of crossbow had a maximum range of up to 1.5 kilometers, with one instance where it successfully killed an enemy commander from 400 meters away.	”
