The Frankish Paladin is a cavalry hero found in the Scenario Editor in Age of Empires II. He looks similar to a Paladin with a lance. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate health (since The Conquerors).
Like other cavalry, the Frankish Paladin is affected by all upgrades that affect cavalry as well as any other bonuses that affect them.

- Barbarossa's March: In the Definitive Edition, there are several Frankish Paladins inside the Hospitaller camp in the south.

- The Saxon Revolt: Charlemagne has three Frankish Paladins in his army.
The Hautevilles[]
- Bohemond and the Emperor: There are two Frankish Paladins located in Anatolia leading the remnants of Roussel de Bailleul's army. They and several Paladins join Bohemond upon being discovered.

- The Frankish Paladin was originally set to appear as the Franks' unique unit, before being replaced by the Throwing Axeman. The Frankish Paladin was instead included as a hero.
- The Frankish Paladin is most likely based on the 'Twelve Peers' representing the best and the finest warriors of the court of Charlemagne. The Frankish Paladin is best known for being a legendary figure in the history of France.
- The model of the Frankish Paladin bears close resemblance to the beta model of a generic Paladin.
