Fortified Town Center is a common technology in Age of Mythology. It upgrades Town Centers to Fortified Town Centers*, increasing their hit points, attack, range, and the amount of population they can support. It does not benefit Village Centers. Unlike all other technologies available at the Town Center, it is not available at the Village Center.
