Forest Protection is a Chinese Heroic Age god power in Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars that is available to worshipers of Goumang. When invoked on a friendly building, it causes plants to sprout nearby in a radius of 30. The terrain heals friendly land units by 3 hit points per second (half rate if they are not idle), and every 10 seconds, thorny vines to emerge to constrict enemy land units, momentarily rooting them in place for 1.5 seconds and causing 6 divine damage to them (0.5× to heroes).
The god power can be invoked on any friendly building, excluding walls, gates, Farms, Sentinels, Tartarian Gates, and building foundations. Non-destructible buildings like Peach Blossom Springs, Plenty Vaults, Healing Springs, and Hesperides Trees are also not valid targets of the god power. Among god power buildings, Forest Protection can be invoked on Lures and Underworld Passages.
Only three buildings can be endowed with Forest Protection at one time. If a fourth building is targeted by the god power, the earliest building still benefiting from it will lose the effect. The god power's influence on a targeted building is otherwise permanent, lasting until it is destroyed.

Immortal Pillars[]
- Forest Protection can even heal units which cannot normally be healed, such as Titans, an allied player's Son of Osiris, Regents, etc, as it applies to all friendly units.
- With update 18.15886, the healing applies only to friendly units with the
LogicalTypeHealed
unit type, thus excluding the examples listed above.
