The Football is a cheat unit in Age of Mythology: Retold. A Football and a Mountain Giant are spawned at the Town Center when the cheat code FOOTY is entered via the chat bar. The Mountain Giant will be under control of the player, but the Football is always a natural object. Footballs can be kicked by Mountain Giants. Units can also push Footballs around.

Nevertheless, adversity struck immediately as Argentina opened the tournament with a controversial 2-1 loss against Saudi Arabia that involved three disallowed goals. Unwilling to let the dream out of reach, Messi's squad battled back with a pair of 2-0 wins against Mexico and Poland to advance to the knockout stage. There, they secured a 2-1 victory against Australia, followed by a nail-biting triumph over the Netherlands that was decided in a penalty shootout, before handily defeating Croatia 3-0 to advance to the World Cup Final for the first time since 2014. Having led his squad to a second-place finish against the German juggernaut eight years prior, Messi was no stranger to World Cup Final heartbreak. Now, Argentina faced the defending champions, a similarly powerful French team led by young superstar Kylian Mbappe. The stakes heightened when Messi publicly claimed that 2022 would be his final World Cup appearance. The stage was set for an incredible finish.Argentina jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals from Messi and Angel Di María, but France stormed back late with a pair of goals by Mbappe, forcing the match to extra time. In the 108th minute, Messi tallied once more, but Mbappé answered seven minutes later, his hat trick being the second in World Cup Final history. Knotted at 3-3, the teams advanced to a penalty shootout, where Messi and Mbappé each scored again. Argentina then scored on the subsequent three attempts by Dybalo, Paredes, and Montiel, while the stellar goalkeeping of Golden Glove winner Emiliano Martinez held France to only one additional score by Kolo Muani, securing an Argentinian World Cup victory. Argentina rejoiced as Messi, who was named tournament MVP after finishing with 7 goals and 3 assists, cemented his legacy as the greatest footballer of all time.	”
