Folwarks is a technology available in Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition - Knights of the Mediterranean that can be researched at a Trading Post or Tambo built on a House of Jagiellon palace. Once researched, it gives 15% of the cost of each farming building built by the player as food and/or coin depending on the buildings' farmable resource. The effect works retroactively, so resources may be granted immediately if farming buildings are already constructed, and new buildings also grant resources. The amount of resources that may be gained immediately have a cap, but are generally too high to reach in an average game. An extensive list of every farming building and the amount of resources received, as well as the cap on the immediate reward, is displayed below:
Originally, Folwarks gave 10% of the construction cost. With update 13.58326, it gives 15% of the construction cost.
Trivia[]
The Hacienda is the only farming building with a build limit, so it is the only building incapable of reaching its maximum number of resources received immediately by researching Folwarks.
