The Flying Purple Tapir is a cheat unit in Age of Empires III that is spawned when the "wuv woo vol.2" cheat is used. Like the name suggests, it is a purple tapir that flies across the battlefield, leaving a rainbow-colored trail in its wake.

While its stats suggests it is an effective combat unit, it can't actually attack anything, and it can be attacked by both ranged and melee units. When suffering damage, its speed drops temporarily to 4.88. It also has a very small Line of Sight, making it ill-suited for scouting except for its high speed and disregard of obstacles.

However, as the AI will believe the stats of the Flying Purple Tapir, it's effective at scaring AI personalities and making recall their Villagers to the Town Center.

The Flying Purple Tapir constantly makes a sound similar to a propeller plane.

The description, cheat code, and the unit itself are references to the Flying Purple Hippo cheat unit from Age of Mythology.
